GUEST COLUMN: Let’s stop teachers union’s move to elitism

Any child growing up in America can become president of the United States. However, only a select few can grow up to become president of the Teachers Association of Anne Arundel County, or TAAAC.

Richard Benfer, TAAAC’s current president, and his minions believe that in order to run for the office of TAAAC president you must first be admitted to their inner circle to demonstrate your worthiness. . .

. . .Now, those in charge want to change the rules so someone like me, an outsider, can never challenge them again. They want to add an amendment to the bylaws such that the only way someone can be eligible to run for TAAAC president is to have served on the board of directors.
