The Courier (Findlay, Ohio)

The Republican primary for Findlay City Council president has turned out to be a contest between experience and a call for change.
Republicans will decide between R. Ronald Monday, 332 W. Sawmill Road, the current 3rd Ward councilman, and Thomas A. Ross, 314 Third St.

Monday, 73, is serving his 10th term on City Council.
Ross, 48, has not held an elected public office. He ran for the 4th Ward seat on council in 2013, losing to Tom Klein in the Republican primary election.
Current Council President Jim Slough is seeking the 4th Ward council seat, where he is unopposed in the primary.
